Sandra Romero de Thompson, Ph.D.
Dr. Sandra Romero Thompson has been the President and Owner of Uniquest International, DBA TexFleet, since founding the company in 1993. In 2000, she contracted to develop a web-based data management software that tracks the details of the leasing process. This entry into the leasing industry led her to obtain a Lessor’s license and credit lines to underwrite commercial leases. Through successful customer and market development efforts and the application of technology, TexFleet has now grown into a full service fleet management and commercial finance provider poised for tremendous growth. Dr. Thompson is a graduate of Southwestern University who completed her master’s degree and received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Jerry Thompson, CVLE
Jerry Thompson is the Chief Financial Officer of TexFleet and manages two businesses: autoleaseDIRECT.com and AutoLeaseAD.com. Over the past seven years, Mr. Thompson has been involved in development and refinement of unique software and business processes that streamline and create efficiencies within the online consumer leasing model. Current strategic partners include RateGenius, eCarList, Dealer123, Thrifty Car Sales, Lease-ASP, Swapalease and LendingTree. Mr. Thompson has been a leader in the auto leasing business for the past nineteen years and serves as the Legislative Chairman of the Texas Chapter of the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA). During this time, Mr. Thompson has served on the National Board of the NVLA and as Chapter President, Legislative Chairman, and Ethics Chairman and has been the recipient of the NVLA’s President’s Award for his contributions to the industry.
Mike Golden
Mike Golden, Vice President of Sales, brings thirty years of commercial leasing sales and management experience to the TexFleet team. After a distinguished career as a national sales leader for major fleet companies, Mike caught the entrepreneurial bug and for the past eight years has invested his time and resources in directing sales and growth for two small leasing companies. Most recently, Mike was the vice president of sales for Leasecure Corporation where he was responsible for increasing sales over 100% per year for three consecutive years.
Steve Nelson
Steve Nelson is a twenty-year veteran of the leasing industry, and currently serves in business development for TexFleet. He served GE Capital Fleet Services for over ten years, and in 1999, he co-founded Fleetnet2 Financial Services, Inc. with fellow TexFleet team member Mike Golden. Steve has received the Six Sigma green belt certification in business and is a facilitator of fleet management best practices.
Phillip Burks
As the marketing director for TexFleet, Phillip Burks brings over thirty years of experience to the team. He recently served as the Deputy Program Manager for the Metro Solutions guided rail transit project in Houston, and also as the DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) Program Manager for the State Highway 130 toll road project in Austin. Being the consummate networker and facilitator that he is, Phillip has been involved with a wide variety of boards, committees, and groups. With an extensive MWBE, DBE and HUB background and highly developed interpersonal skills, Phillip is uniquely qualified to lead TexFleet’s dynamic marketing efforts.
Dee Dee Alexander-Adams
Dee Dee Alexander-Adams brings over 10 years of customer service and inside sales experience to her role as the client relations manager for TexFleet. For the last seven years, she served in sales and client support at Leasecure, where she was responsible for aiding clients in the acquisition, leasing and re-marketing of leased vehicles. Dee Dee has worked closely with team member Mike Golden over the past seven years in the deployment of highly successful, customer-focused sales strategies.
